The story eh? Come sit ye down friend for it is a tale indeed, a tale of romance, adventure, laughter and unicorns! Don't sit there, you don't want to sit on a dragon... thats better. Now we can begin. Once upon a time...

From   the   beggining

Where   we   are   now

Rob and Gemma have been performing for most of their lives, meeting at Liverpool John Moores University as coy teenagers. They have always pursued their love of theatre with reckless abandon and both hold down full time careers as professional actors and entertainers. Whilst Gemma works mostly in cabaret and circus, Rob takes on various acting roles including film, theatre and kids comedy. Their combined venture came about many years ago when they conspired to bring their talents together to create the ultimate feast of joy, served with a side of silliness.

The Wonderous Funderstorm is a marvellous collision of our skills and talents, along with many of our fantastic friends. Our mission is to create hilariously wild walkabout entertainment, interactive theatre and dazzling displays of circus to suit your event. 

From murder mysteries, to historic theatre, stilt walking characters, flamingo riding mad March hares, unicycling about and our mythical babies, we have something for every taste. 

Meet the Founders

Gemma

Gemma's main focus for the past decade has been cabaret performance. Over this time she has learnt and honed her aerial circus skills and made many costumes and puppets. Originally trained in Drama and Screen studies at Liverpool John Moores University, Gemma went on to do the 3 month Circus in performance course at Greentop Circus in Sheffield. She has always had a love of clowning and aerial circus and has attended many workshops over the years to build on her knowledge and understanding of both. She's also a mean unicyclist. 

Rob

Rob has been a professional actor and comedian since 2008. He has enjoyed the dizzy highs of the Edinburgh Fringe, sofa commercials and feature films to the terrifying lows of dressing as a cheer leader on the M25 for a breakdown recovery advert! He loves playing with audiences, spreading mirth and merriment with prefrably a dragon in tow! Rob also writes and performs comedy shows for children and has a great passion for history which has seen him play anything from Knights to Highwayman for schools and historic sites. Yes he has the costumes!
